Location: Hybrid, schedule will be set by Hiring Manager. Must currently reside within 50 miles of Harrisburg, PA.

About the Role:

We’re seeking an experienced Enterprise Architect to lead modernization and cloud transformation initiatives across large-scale enterprise systems.

This role will guide the architecture of mission-critical platforms—integrating applications such as Salesforce, Appian, and Azure—and ensuring alignment with business objectives, security frameworks, and long-term IT strategy.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, publish, and maintain enterprise reference architectures and technology standards.
  • Lead modernization planning and migration of legacy systems to cloud-native or hybrid architectures.
  • Architect and oversee integrations with enterprise platforms such as Salesforce, Appian, and Azure.
  • Design secure, scalable cloud solutions aligned with federal and Commonwealth frameworks.
  • Collaborate with IT leadership, project managers, and stakeholders to ensure architectural alignment with business goals.
  • Define and promote data interoperability strategies across multiple systems while maintaining compliance with data protection and retention policies.
  • Evaluate and recommend emerging technologies to improve service delivery and operational efficiency.
  • Develop technology roadmaps and ensure they align with strategic priorities and citizen service objectives.
  • Support architecture governance, reviewing and validating solution architectures for policy compliance.
  • Communicate complex technical concepts clearly to non-technical audiences.
Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or related field and 6+ years of professional IT experience, or 10+ years of equivalent IT experience.
  • Proven experience in:
    • Application development and modernization
    • Enterprise reference architecture and technology standards
    • API design and secure system integrations
    • Cloud solution architecture (preferably Azure)
    • Developing and executing technology roadmaps
    • Translating complex technical concepts into actionable guidance for stakeholders
Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certifications such as:
    • TOGAF 9.x
    • Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert
    • Salesforce Certified Application Architect
  • Experience in state or federal government environments.
  • Familiarity with low-code platforms (especially Appian) and Salesforce.
  • Understanding of geospatial systems or regulatory data standards.

Flexible work from home options available.

Compensation: $100,000.00 - $105,000.00 per year
